Getting Started

Creating a newsletter in Reduce is a straightforward process. Each newsletter represents a curated digest focused on a specific topic or area of interest.
1

Navigate to the Create Page

Click the “Create Newsletter” button from your dashboard or navigate to /newsletters/create.
2

Name Your Newsletter

Choose a clear, descriptive name that reflects the newsletter’s focus.
Use names that describe the content, not the format. For example: “AI Research Weekly” rather than “My Newsletter #1”
3

Add a Description (Optional)

Provide context about what this newsletter covers. This helps you remember its purpose, especially if you manage multiple newsletters.
4

Configure Your Newsletter

After creation, you’ll be taken to the configuration page where you can:
  • Add content sources
  • Define sections with AI prompts
  • Set delivery schedule

Naming Best Practices

Choose names that make it easy to identify your newsletter’s purpose at a glance:
Good ExamplesWhy It Works
”AI Safety Research”Clear topic focus
”React Ecosystem Updates”Specific technology area
”Climate Tech News”Defined industry vertical
”Frontend Design Patterns”Narrow, actionable scope
AvoidWhy It’s Problematic
”Newsletter 1”No context about content
”Interesting Stuff”Too vague
”My Daily Digest”Describes format, not content

Organizing Multiple Newsletters

Free tier users can create 1 newsletter. Pro users can create up to 5 newsletters.
If you’re on the Pro plan, consider organizing newsletters by:
  • Topic area: Separate newsletters for AI, web development, design, etc.
  • Urgency: Daily breaking news vs. weekly deep dives
  • Audience: Work-related vs. personal interests
  • Source type: Video-heavy (YouTube) vs. text-heavy (Reddit/X)
